Hey, I've been paintballin for about 5 or 6 years now, and Im looking to upgrade to a new marker. I started with a spyder, made my way to a cocker which I currently use its almost completely upgraded. Few parts remain stock.

Any suggestions for a new marker. Ive looked at several different markers including Matrix's, Impulses, Angels, the new shocker, Intimidators, and just going with a e-blade upgrade for the cocker. Ive never shot a matrix but have seen several, ive shot several impulses and the strange is my favorite thats one of the markers im leaning towards, adrenaline impulse is supposed to be awesome but i have yet to see one and i am in no hurry to order one without seeing one. Ive also used several angels and have looked hard at the speed and waiting to see the new angel 4. the new shocker i havent shot because i havent been able to get my hands on one(have they been released? I heard the first batch of 300 or so had been). Intimidators are nice but im just not sure I love my friends but i dont see much room for improvements on them the w.a.s board rocks but theres not a ton of aftermarket support on them as far as i know.

I'm sure any of these markers will be a good choice but I just want to hear a few opinions on some of the things ive been looking at.

Price isnt a huge issue. The cheaper the better of course but I havent thrown any ideas out the window because of price yet. Stranges run just over a grand and i would like to keep it under that if i could.

Any suggestions would be much apreciated. Thanks in advance.

First of all, any Smart Parts markers you were considering buying, DON'T. That narrows your search quite a bit. The Speed is a great marker, and priced competitively. The A4 will have several bugs worked out of the first few generations (just like the LED, LCD and IR3 did), and it'll probably come down in price quite drastically after the first few months, so I'd wait awhile to buy that one. I'm an Angel owner, so naturally I would consider an Intimidator out of the question. They're big, bulky, long, ugly and the Speed and A4 will far outshoot it. The Eblade for the 'cocker is rockin'. I know a few guys who've Ebladed their 'cockers, and they rip. If you bought that, you wouldn't have to hassle with selling your current marker, or agonize over buying a new one. You obviously like the 'cocker, so sticking an Eblade on there is definitely a doable thing. Try all those markers out, shoot, in this order: an Angel, an Eblade, a timmy, and see which one suits you best.

Used quite a few markers including angels and timmys. currently have a planet e-blade. The e-blade is by far the best marker i have owned, very accurate and with a good paint barrel match it's even better. cuts are superb and the anno job is flawless. as for speed- they riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipppppppppp never mind strings i'm gettin rope out the end of mine. if you're upgrading your current cocker, include a delrin bolt in the upgrade. you won't regret doin it.

as far as the other markers go

timmays- some parts seem to be quite fragile, bulky as well imo

impulses- fast, cheap- ugly? made by a naughty company

matrix- no experience but they ain't no oil painting either

GO FOR THE E-BLADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location, Location.
e-blade or angel....no compromise on quality on either.

one reason to stay with cocker is that you obviously know what your doing with it so it may prove easier for you.

reasons for angels: they make you look like a pimp :D
superb aftermarket help in case of problems.
Nothing really needs done to them to make them rock.

as i said at the start

cocker or angel......

Searching for the pro-tour....:S
If your good with cockers then the e-blade has to be the way to go. Only reason I shoot a shocker over an e-blade is I can't get on with cockers. Like the way they shoot and feel, but can't satnd the pneumatics etc. Too many fiddly bits to go wrong.

Just make sure that you get a good loader, you'll need it!
