taking apart 2 piece barrel

right ... i've got a 2 piece eclipse barrel that i got with an xsv i bought. problem is the back is a .693 and thats gonna be abit big for some paint and i can't seem to take the back off!!!

i've tried heating it and using a rubber wrench on it and stuff and i#m well and truel stuck ... any ideas??

they unscrew opposite to the normal way.

try popping it in the freezer.metal shrinks when cold. the the unscrew in different directions

OR you could put one end in the freezer and the other end in a bucket/pan/mug etc full of boiling water and VOILA one end shrinks and the end expands

P.s make sure the front bit doesnt go into the boiling water, or then your realy buggered

thanks guys! did it in the end

took freezing over night and then heat the back on the stove to do it!!! but its in 2 parts now!! w000t!!
