Quite intuitive and very straight forward.

Yeah, the Q is a bit vague really. If you say a bit more about the type of game you want to play (tourney, rec ball, big game) and any specific problems you have then you might get a better response. You 'll find loads of people all too willing to give you tips if you point them in the right direction

In all seriousness, having a bunch of people tell you what tactics they prefer isn't really going to help you. I suggest going out and playing, and developing your own way to play the game. Then come back, see what people have to say on the subject, and making modifications to your game, not sculpting your game from a bunch of half joking comments.
keep moving it is harder to hit a moving target in the open than a still half hidden target when not in a jamble take 2 steps stop and look around and listen if you think your advans its going too good to be true hightail it back to base its probabaly an ambush
If you take two steps on an advance and stop, the guy your were just advancing on will just embarass you (paint you pretty colors). Once you make a move, finish it, because if you stop, you will be shot.

Look at the thread called Top tips in tournament, read the one by gyroscope on the third page- it's not really about tactics but there is some pretty good tips on there. the whole thread has some good tips.
like the others said be more specific and go and play and figuire some stuff out for yourself.also playing with people who are on teams and have experience would be a good thing they can teach you a bit. really you just have to play yourself and develop your own game then ask for addy just like Meyer said.

general tactics.....keep moving forward when poss, look at angles to shoot from....hide behind big things and shoot as many people as possible.....and if you must get shot at least look good doing it!
