Depends on what you want to carry

If just pods then a pod belt is most efficient

If you want to carry a lot of pods, without using the elasticated + loops then a vest can give you more space to fill with pods, but you still have to allow space to pull the pods

If you are carrying more things and spreading the load then use a vest, eg if you run a remote line and wear your cylinder, camel back, radio, even a fluffy or pull through stuffed in molle loops

When it comes to choosing a vest decide on a dedicated system with fixed pockets or a molle system that you can change to meet specific requirements

It is a very personal thing for vests

Currently I have one pod belt (can't remember which one as I had three, cut one up long ago and donated a second to a team project for a build a little while back)

Mostly I currently use a dye molle vest in dyecam but also still have my first molle vest (utg tactical molle vest in acu - I picked that vest because it was the cheapest molle I could find at the time via a supplier that would post to the uk)

I also have a multicam molle belt / yoke rig from ebairsoft and a black combination fixed /molle light rig

Nowadays you can source decent molle setups in the uk.

Compared to other systems a molle setup is expensive - you need the base, suitable pouches for paintball pods (either specific paintball molle pouches or 'real life molle' such as p90 pouches) and whatever assortment of other pouches you require. The real advantage is to configure for you personally and to reconfigure for the future and between games.

You realy need to try on a vest before buying as it needs to be comfortable for you - and preferably fully adjustable

I just used a £10 pod belt, that was fine for me... But if you're thinking of storing a tank + using a remote line, go with a tac vest.

If you do decide to go tack vest,go for one of the ones with the elasticated Velcro waist.
Stops a lot of riding up.
Personally I've found remote lines and back mounted tanks a pain.
Decent quality second hand NXE / Planet Eclipse waist pack may be a better bet, ones come up on here for around £20/30.
I've got a PE HDE one works well, cammo with attachments for extra pouch for smokes and a pod dump pouch.

And a second hand NXE one for speedball .

Obviously these are new prices but gives you the idea.

Thank you for all of your replies, I think I am going to go for a Tac vest so I can use a remote line.
Not only that it will spread the weight.

I find tac vests handy as they mean you can carry a squeegee in one pocket, microfiber in the next, Allen keys in the next, smokes in the next couple, pods in the two deep pouches at the sides, barrel sock in another pocket and my air tank on the back and remote lined :)
They are very handy and I get loads of bounces from the tac vest which keeps me in the game in those lucky moments!
Oh and you can clip your mask onto it with a carrabina clip in safe zones ;)
