Hia i'm looking at buying a spyder AMG, i have read some brillient reviews and some truely awful reviews i was wondering if anyone has shot one and knows if they're any good?

I bought an AMG as a first gun and although i have since upgraded many times i still have the AMG. My brother is using it at the moment to good effect in training and at the dartford 7's tournament. It has been upgraded with a new barrel (freak) and is running on high pressure air (you also need to get an electronic loader to keep up with it). It is a reliable gun with few things going wrong and believe me it has taken some abuse over the last few years.
It is not going to compete in rate of fire competitions with angels,timmys and other high end guns but it is a good reliable gun to start off with.
And remember a good player with an average gun will always beat an average player with a good gun.

If you can get to the dartford 7's on the 23rd of may come and find me (ill be with the roughnecks team probably in a small tent !)and you can have a shoot of it and see what you think.
Can youch for this gun, it shot me a few times ( well a few 100 ) the first time I met Andy at a walk-on. He now plays with us, good enough for you??

lol cheers guys its fight now between a AMG fully set up or a eclispe angel LED in need of high pressure tank.
First marker thou so i dont to Feck it up and the angel is more expensive and i have to buy a high pressure bottle.
If you are in the market to get an angel I would suggest getting a second hand angel speed they can be picked up quite cheap now but you set them up right and they rip. They are also very reliable, low maintainance and you will be able to play with it at any level. The older angels are heavier and not as fast or reliable.
Again if you are at dartford on the 23rd you are welcome to shoot my speed as well as the amg to see the difference then make up your mind.
You can pick up a speed for about £350 - £400 second hand then go see john or chris at london paintball supplies who will do you a 1.1 litre air bottle and angel preset reg for about £170 and supply all your other paintball needs.

i got an lcd myself and they are definately a lot lighter than the spyder clones ive got a hold of! Any angel is guaranteed to be good. Fair enough the LED is capped at 15, but better than a Spyder capped at about 11/13
