Ok, i had a call from sweden about a double mugging that occured in sweden, nothing new i hear you say, well this one was pulled off without a marker?
The guy was J from the Jags who is guesting for the infils, he went out to play minus a marker and with a handfull of balls he ran down the field and threw them at a couple of players, the balls broke and the unlucky players are eliminated, he then went on to grab the flag but changed colour on the way.

This is wot i heard, so take it as gospel!!

GReat move if true but i dont know i could be wrong but are you actually allowed to throw paintballs during a game just a question ???

Would be nice to know if that is the case cos then if my marker went down during the game could just throw a few balls at em instead :D

Tell me if i am wrong but i think the rules state that the balls must be shot from the marker to eliminate a player so the player should not have been called out for balls breaking on him if they were not shoot from a marker.

That can't be right - I was warned not to throw paintballs in Toulouse (my marker had gone down and I was trying to attract the oppositions attention so my team-mate could mug him)
That happened on the RPS field and was IIRC Ignition reffing

If it's true then the marshalls are crap because it shouldn't have counted.

A player is eliminated (inactive) if a paintball shot by an active player strikes that player or anything he is wearing or carrying and such paintball breaks upon the object struck

it isn´t true!

I was there, I saw it happen on the Angel field. (I was reffin the neighboring field Rps and was watching as it happend.

The guy gets in front of the big L on the other guys 30 yard line. and jumps over and throws paint on the 2 guys behind the bunker. The reffs sees this and does not pull the two players because of this.
IN FACT they were screaming at the reff who was checking them (my brother) That they were clean because he had thrown the paint.

My brother pulled the guy nearest to the stands because he had been SHOT in the pack I think it was from another guy on the tapeline. THEN 10 sec after this the guy who was still left behind the bunker went over the top to shot the guy who was sitting on the other side and got shot from the back players.

Manike: You would have to look reaaal hard to find a reff who sucked at this event. Because there were none. Sure mistakes were made as always but these guys are known to be the best, because they are the best.

Very good to hear :) I'm glad the story isn't true also.

I think maybe Jason embellished his story a bit (must be because he is a septic!!). We never actually saw the game, just heard the story so can't comment.

Can't imagine it happened though cos the judging was spot on all weekend.

what he did was , gun had gone down, run up the angel field and threw a handfull of paint at the 2 players behind a barricade. . . the players then Called THEMselves out, so there was nothing the marshal could do, he wasnt going to pull them out but they called them selves out and left the field.
