Just got emailed this........

Hi All.

I have an official announcement to make that may come as a bit of a surprise
to many of you so I won't beat about the bush. I have decided to retire my
position as League co-organiser. I am in fact retiring from paintball to
pursue a new course in life and am shortly moving abroad. This change in my
direction will have no effect to the continuation of the Southwest Paintball
League, so rest assured that Syd will be organising events for all of you in
the future and this year's further two events will be taking place as
scheduled - the only difference will be that the best Judge in the Southwest
won't be there!

I don't know where life will be taking me soon but I have to say the
starting and running the League has been the greatest achievement for me and
the friends I have made over the last 18 months has made it all worthwhile.
We have all made something really special down here in the sticks and I wish
for you all to keep on playing your hearts out.

Thanks all.
Rob.

SWPL's Future

Hi All

Yeh, Rob has left me all alone to run the Southwest League - the stress just got too much for him and drinking himself into a stupor just didn't seem to work anymore! :)

Actually he's off to Palma, Majorca to make his fortune out there. He'll be missed, but as to the SWPL's future - I will be carrying on with it and it's here to stay. The league has never been so popular and there's no way I'd 18 months of mine and Rob's hard work go down the pan - expect to see more of my ugly face!

Catch you all at the next two legs - Splat'Em on 20th Jan and (hopefully) Hamburger Hill on 3rd March. In the meantime, can you all spare a prayer for me every evening before bed and just maybe I'll make it through this season without loosing any more hair. :D
