if its like last year there are 2 grass fields in the centre of the track with 5 on astro. but there will definately be both types there.
2 inches of sand is f***ing stupid, why not just play on a beach???? astro turf should be green or whatever, at leats u should be able to see the under surface, or its pointless using the astro turf, anyway, i like astro turf more than grass

I think the point is that astro turf destroys clothing and burns skin, whereas and inch of sand on top of astroturf doesn't. Also, it's difficult to find a beach to play on at Cyystal Palace.

What makes cleanup of astroturf hard that an inch of sand would make easier? Does the broken paint stay with the sand or something?
