Surface for Indoor paintball hall?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any exciting viewpoints on good materials to use for a Indoor paintball field..

Astroturf with sawdust on top seems like the most viable solution, good for sliding etc. But the saw dust mixed with paint make for one hell of a sticky mess on clothes, shoes etc.

So Ive been considering other stuff.. Like sand? Huntington beach seems to have worked well, but Id immagine it was harder to run fast on sand, and Im not sure if sand will be any more comfortable than sawdust..

Does anyone else have any ideas? Id appreciate any viewpoint and \ or suggestions you might have, especially from people who actually have experience with running a field

Sand

Played several times at LPS's indoor sup'air arena which was on a sand floor. The running wasn't so much of a problem but the sand and paint combined to make a sticky mess everywhere resulting in four hours of kit cleaning.

Also it got into a cocker and jammed it solid, ripped the crap out of several bolts and was generally nasty!
We now no-longer play at the site because of it.

Some indoor places use carpet. The right type of carpet will be good for sliding, but won't get too slippery with paint. Carpet burns wreck whatever you've got your knees covered with, though.

Some Mexican fella was selling 'Grass'! It like fake soft grass with drainage holes so it can be hosed down. It looked awesome apart from the price.. $80,000 for a fields worth!!

The type of stuff they use at JJB soccor domes would be awesome, dunno how much it'd cost though.

astro turf and carpet look best if u could find away of keeping it reasonble dry.

Sand and the Astroturf/Sawdust sounds reasonably good!

Although ive never played indoor myself so what would I know

The european indoor at hilton park had a good floor ( used for horse riding), like a soil/sand mix. ( tech dudes here please!) alternatively I'd love to play at an ice rink, any body organise this and I'll play!!
