You will notice that the 2012 Super6 season will contain five events. Due to the proliferation of Big Games next year, we did not want to overcrowd the calendar with an additional weekend. So we'll condense Super6 down into five events for the 2012 season.
So what's the big news for 2012 Super6?
For the 2012 season, Super6 are going to do something truly extraordinary.
Super6 are going to send a cheque for £250 to EVERY paintball team in the UK. This cheque can be used to purchase free tickets to the Super6 series.
Many of you will have noticed us gathering contact details for team captains in recent months - now you know why!!
Within 14 day from now, we will be doing a cheque run of over £25,000 (£26,250 to be exact! ). 105 teams in the UK who have provided us with their details will be receiving a Super6 cheque for £250. No strings attached. You can then use this cheque to redeem for free tickets to Super6 games.
No other organisers in the world have given such a quantifiable gift back to the players (when was the last time an organiser sent your team hundreds of pounds of free tickets???) but we feel that this will mean that every team in the UK who has contributed to the Scenario Scene over the past 12 months will receive a reward. It's something we are very proud to be able to do.
So what else is new?
- Ticket prices will not increase for 2012 - we've held the ticket prices at £50 again for next year and Super6 do not believe in punishing those who can not afford to pay early by raising our prices in the closing weeks (when most tickets sell). From game launch until tickets close just days before the event - tickets will remain clear, transparent and easy to understand - it's £50!
- Every single Super6 game in 2012 will end on a pyrotechnic spectacular. It really will be an explosive year! (sorry!!)
- We never have, and never will charge you to bring your non-playing partner or family. Super6 actively encourage you to bring non-playing family and friends along and we don't charge a penny......in fact, we'll even put on activities to keep the youngsters amused whilst you play some paintball. Super6 is a family friendly event, so feel free to drag Grandma along in the knowledge that you'll not be charged for the pleasure.
- A brand new Super6 Golden Gun!!! We'll announce the manufacture and images of this absolute beauty when its finished production, but from what we've seen so far - its genuinely jaw dropping........and one of you guys WILL win it!
- Revamped Super6 TV. After a great first year, we'll be revamping Super6 TV into short but more exciting episodes from each event, with a final documentary that will cover the entire series. We don't put Super6 TV on DVD's and charge you to watch it - Super6 TV is uploaded to Youtube and completely free for you to enjoy.
- We've got new sponsors and traders this year, making Super6 OFFICIALLY the biggest and best trade show in the UK. Last years suppliers Enola Gaye, Manic Paintball, Dark Sports, Tiberius, Maxs, Planet Eclipse, DXS, Dye, Tippmann, NXE, will be joined by a host of new companies including Powerball and Vanguard. It's quite a line up!
- Tech support for each event will be supplied by: Tiberius, GI Milsim, Planet Eclipse, Tippmann, Dye, Vanguard and Powerball and these will be joined by LIPS and BZ who also offer support on products and brands that they sell.
- The paint suppliers for 2012 will be DXS, Dark Sports and Powerball. A fantastic line up of quality manufacturers who will attend each and every event with a range of paint all stored and transported to the highest standards.
- We are absolutely delighted to announce that Planet Eclipse will be hosting their first ever Big Game anywhere in the world as part of the Super6. Planet Eclipse have hooked up with Shoreline Paintball to bring UK players Super6/4: The Planet Eclipse Big Game - Staargate in September. We are delighted as a series to partner up with Planet Eclipse and and it promises to be a very special weekend for European paintballers!
- Brand new Super6 website coming in 14 days. Loads of video, photos and reports from the 2011 season along with tonnes of information about the 2012 Super6 Series. Standby - 14 days to go!
- Staffed loo's. Each event will have staffed loo's, tasked with permanently ensuring that loo's are kept clean and hygienic.
- New innovations. In 2011, Super6 brought you live updating game maps on plasma screens, electronic flags, barcode scoring systems, electronic registration, free mobile phone and laptop charging service, wireless scoring systems, USB based special missions and loads more innovations that have genuinely moved the game forward. Expect more of the same in 2012. Super6 are the only people genuinely investing and trialling new technology and innovations to improve the game for everyone - we're not about to stop now.
- Super6 fun buses. If there is demand, Super6 will run buses along pre-determined routes around the UK to help players from all over the country travel to and from events as cheaply and easily as possible, we'll even subsidise the costs to keep the prices as low as humanly possible. Its all part of our efforts to look after those players who support our events.
- We've got a fantastic plan for the Saturday mini games. Each Super6 Saturday will feature a mini-taster for the next Super6 event. Example: at D10, the Saturday mini-scenario will be a mini Back to the Future. At Back to the Future, someone else will be running a mini Chocolate Factory on the Saturday and at Chocolate Factory Tim from Shoreline will be running a mini Planet Eclipse Big Game Staargate game. At Staargate, Niall from Campaign will be present with his team to run a mini taster for Time Wars.
This idea will all the faction leaders and Generals to recruit at the mini versions, test ideas and work on tactics. Again, its a genuinely innovative idea from Super6 that will see some absolutely rip roaring Saturday gunfights and great taster of what to expect at the next Super6 game.
What hasn't changed?
- er...the ticket prices. Its still 50 quid.
- We're still using the best organisers, at the best sites, with the best game designs all committed to push the UK game to the top of the world paintball tree and give UK paintballers the best quality and value events for your 50 quid as we possibly can - we're passionate about that!
- Super6 girls will be back, as will the revamped Super6 TV.
- A new revamped Super6 Academy will also be at each event.
- The Tippmann TPX Pistol Challenge will be at each Super6 event along with the very popular Tiberius Sniper Shooting Competition.
- BZ, LIPS and P8ntU will be back in 2012 to join the massive line up of manufacturers who will also be there with full trade stands as well as all the tech support guys.
Conclusion
Super6 is back!
After a year when the series has changed the face of UK Big Game paintball, we refuse to sit back and relax. This year has seen genuine innovation, genuine value, genuine quality, over £20,000 with of prizes handed out to players and some fantastic weekends of paintball. The Super6 is now the pre-eminent Big Game series in Europe, if you don't believe us - take a look at the European forums and how many teams for 2012 are planning their season around the Super6 series. The biggest trade areas, the biggest tech support offering, arguably the biggest number of players this year, the biggest turn out of new players, female players and overseas players - its been a great 12 months that has put UK paintball on the map.
But next year we need to do more. Give more back to the players who support the series, provide better quality and even more value. We're evangelical about it. We've got some fantastic new game ideas, some exciting game innovations and raft of new partners for next season. If we can achieve what we did in our first year - we plan to blow that out of the water in our second!! After all, who else has sent your team a cheque for £250?
We look forward to seeing you all in 2012, we're already bouncing with excitment. 2011 was the best year paintball has seen in the UK - 2012 will be better!!
