yep either ptfe tape or some loctite mate but not the proper strong stuff or youll never get it out again, planet sell the one that will do the job

Most people wouldn't recommend PTFE tape, as if any fibres get in your marker it will cause grief.

Blue or Green Loctite (NOT Loctite Superglue!!) which is usually available from Halfords etc or as stated Planet.

some elbows(if new) already come with sealant on,you should be able to tell by looking at it.
