During a conversation with a reliable source today, it was let out that K2, the new owners of Worr Game Products, has 'contacted' National Paintball Supply, the makers of the Psychoballistics Lightning line of markers, which is a 'clone' of the Autococker.

The source was vague when questioned about the meaning of the word 'contacted' in reference to NPS and WGP/K2, but it'd be a safe assumption that either a letter was sent or a phone call was made to NPS giving them notice to cease and desist the production of the Lightning, which WGP feels is in violation of their trademark on the term Autococker and products that fit the description of an autococking marker. More to come as it becomes available.

They were fair warned, K2 said mere days after they purchased WGP that they were bringing down the hammer on 'cocker clones. I can't really blame them, alot of the knockoff's arent' made with the same quality, and might give people who don't know any better a bad perception of the Worr Games autococker.

they should come down on companies calling cocker clones autocockers (not too bothered about them working the same) but how many system x's have you seen in the hands of new players who thought they'd gotten a good deal? Someone tried to sell me one 'till he realised I knew what it was.
