Suggestion possible?

On facebook you have notifactions as soon as someone messages you or someone post's on something youve posted ectect you get my point!

On here you have to refresh a page or go to another page to find out if you have a message. and you have to go to the page that your on to see whether someone has posted, maybe we could get something like facebook to tell us that someone has made a comment on a thread that you are tagged to.

It's only a suggestion so please dont pin me down and attack me.

If you subscribe to a thread you can opt to be notified by PM every time someone posts on that thread.

I thought that once you posted on a thread you automatically then recd a notification once someone further adds a comment - well I do anyway, must have it pre set like this !!

no, all that is is a daily update telling you if any new posts have been made that day, i think what scotty's after is something that tells you each time someone posts on a thread, right?

well, just anything to tell you straight away that someone commented on your thread instead of refreshing/going through each thread.

Well whenever a new post is made, there should be a blue ball instead of a grey one by the thread...that's usually a good indicator as to if something has been posted. I usually check once a day / every few hours (depending how bored i get ) but it's quite easy to see

But an IM service like that is plat only i think?
