SUCCESS!! maniac ego 05

Right ive got a maniac board for my ego 05 but i think its an 06 maniac board as the tigger doesnt break the sensor on the board. The board is working because i can break the sensor manually.

Firstly is there anyway to tell which board i have

Secondly is their a easy home mod to make the trigger break the sensor such as padding the back of the board so further forward or soldering a tiny piece of aluminum to the inner trigger blade

has anyone done this before?

The maniac board says just that when the screen loads up.

It will be in an 06 frame and the trigger barb that breaks the opto will be in the centre.

Does it say what version software and what type of trigger/ frame have you got?

its an 05 frame for definate
the trigger barb is on the right hand side when your looking at the back not the centre
which makes the op sensor on the board to far back (or to far to the left inside the grip frame)

its just it came with this board seperate when i bought it and i want to put it in
its definatly maniac as its stamped all over the board and ive had it in before but didnt have the time to mess around with it any ideas on how i can get it to break the beam?

You will need and 06 frame & trigger idealy. Putting an 06 board in the 05 won't work.

I don't know if you could mod the frame to accept an 06 trigger just by milling it out slightly.

hmmm i was wondering why i got this in the box with the 05

i think il just try popping a bit of ally on to my old trigger see if it likes it

will adding this board sod up anything else such as internals if it changes settings?

dont see why it should plug it in if all else works go for trigger extension

The maniac board is not compatable with the 05 because it was designed for the 06 guns. The trigger blade on the 05 is offset to one edge of the trigger while on the 06 it is in the centre of the trigger. If i remember correctly the trigger blade will be to high and go over the top of the break beam thus not activate the sensor. Easyest option is fit an 06 frame and the board will be fine think i may have one somewhere which you can have for a very good price although think it is a bit scruffy and blue. Let me know.

i would change the frame bud but im skint so i think pratting around with the trigger is better idea and more fun

im goin to tack a bit of aluminum onto the trigger barb so it breaks the beam and that will hopefully do it
