Switch off the asa and disconnect your macroline, then turn on the asa dumping the air from the bottle through the macroline. When the bottle is empty you can get to work on removing the system.
First the system may be loose enough now to turn, if not you'll need some tools.
Remember when you next use the system put a little silicone grease on the o-ring and threads.

sound advise from tom (as ever), you may find also that if you try undoing it when its cold (ie when you just dumped the air) that its easier to do

definatly try putting a pair of washing up gloves on to hold the bottle...works a treat

this happened to me once with a co2 cannister. it took 2 people to get it off and the drop it was mounted to, was twisted 90 degree under the extreme torque.

Would a bit of heat work?

I don't mean a blow lamp but often the Crossfire regs are glued with a spot of loctite (or similar) aren't they?

Perhaps after emptying the bottle of air you could run it under very hot water (or tip a kettle of boiling water over the reg/bottle join) for a little to make the metal expand a little - perhaps enough to fracture the glue.

Or is that all a little star trek??

well an update for you all mine came off easy as pie after dumping the air my mate uses a bit to much braun before the brain engages and he dumped his air then but every ounce of brute force he has and spun his reg right out of his bottle!!! so a new problem has arrisen.

How the hell do you get the regulator out of the ASA???
especially when it is screwed in tighter than a really tight screwy thing????
