stripped dm7 eye screw

been clumsy and stripped one of the eye cover retaining screws on my dm7, any advice on how to get it out?

i had same prob,

was a pain in the ass to get out.


used a drill + a drill bit that was slightly bigger then the whole you put the allen key in.
Drilled it like a mad man. until it finaly gave way.

im sure some one will explain better.

might not work and just throwing it out there but have you tried super glueing an allen key into place and turning the screw with that? again i dunno if it would work but worth a try?

you'll have to drill it out... or pay up and get a Dye service centre to sort it for you.

use a tapping kit to get it out.

Get a small jewellers flat head screw driver that fits the hole where the stripped screw is, give it a good few taps with a hammer so that it bites into the head of the stripped screw and then it should unscrew out.

I have done several this way.

ask your local shop or something sponsored by dye and they should sort it out! also phone up the techy at Dye
