My set up is a stock Angel LCD 2000, on Center Flag's HyperFlow 201, 12'' Freak barrel.

The dwell on the Angel has been set from 14, 15 and 16 (problem persists).
Output pressure from air system at 600-700 psi.
LPR pressure at 85 psi.
Internals have been cleaned and lubed by tech personnel.

Fact is: this baby never (ever) goes hot over the radar: Paint speed tops at 270 ft/sec (can be as low as 250) (LPR allen screw is totally turn to the left)

Problem: Short shot range due to low initial speed.

Any hints please???
Thanx

Well my Angel is set at 14 dwell as it came the input pressure from the Angel Air is 660 (may be wrong cos it could be 550 but as I don't have any air in the tank right now I can't be sure) as to the LPR pressure..not a clue but it sits quite nicely at 290's and range isn't an issue, the barrel could be your problem cos if the bore is too large you will be wasting a lot of air, so then your range will be bad.
You didn't say what barrel you were using but a good barrel to paint match will sort most of your problems. You do seem to have eliminated the mechanical issues. Not being familiar with the Hyperflow reg means I don't know if you can adjust the output but 700 psi does sound a little high so you have no adjustment in the LPR try and drop the input pressure to the LPR and check your barrel/paint match.

There is a shim kit if I recall correctly that adjusts the low pressure reg setting if you need to do so. Actually I would recommend trying different bolts to see if you can get a little better flow. Often a high flow bolt produces a higher velocity per given pressure, so you may be able to use that to your advantage so you won't have to send your gun anywhere. Just try to see what someone at your field has in the way of bolts and ask politely if you can try one.

If it's the stock bolt, that's normal. Somehow the stock bolt seems to 'absorb' dirt, which will leave scratches on the bolt and the chamber that houses the ball. Nothing serious, but hey, it looks ugly, which is a put off for most Angel people.

Sorry to see your red guy avatar go by the way.:D

Not yet!!!:(
Left it with Alvaro (CenterFlag) to have the air sys checked first. (Don't think the problem comes from there though.)
Then i'll have the Angel checked.
Too bad you're having the same prob.

Got my Angel back. Apparently in the last maintenance check, the guy took all the LPR's shims:eek:
This weekend a team mate took it to tourney and it performed like a charm (280-290fps no ball break all day long):p :p :p
