With three hundred Northerners running around I suggest you lock the kit in the trunk of your car, stick a rottweiler with a rubber band round it's willy in the back seat, and then store the car in a shipping container..... only way to be sure! :D :D

.....Goatboy looks to the sky with a growing fear, and starts to dig his foxhole with fervour.....

:D :D INCOMING!!!!!:D :D

im just taking it for granted that the organisers will have security there coz i really would not b hapy if i came back to the car after a long day lightin you southerners up and finding that my kit has been nicked...
i read a recent post of a guy having his cocker nicked at a tourney and personally i think it is outrageous that a fellow p-baller would do something like that :)confused: assuming it was another p-baller that did the down right low and sneaky deed).....

can someone please come back with the OFFICIAL stats concerning security please.....
much appreciated.

Storage for kit at North vs South

Hi guys

Heres the official position re security

The Car Park will be secure and staffed all day! so anything left there will be ok (unless you give your keys out to anyone!)

You will either be rostering at the North or South base camps which are also staffed all day and your kit SHOULD be ok to leave in there - HOWEVER as I am sure you are aware if you have played tournys or any other large events, with 300+ people using each base camp it is impossible for us to tell if everyone is going to their own bags etc.

Its ridiculous that we should have to worry about players robbing each other, but it does happen on occasion - its even happened at the World Cup !

We will be making a manned cloakroom area available at each base camp where you can leave your valuables for a small charge (50p - simply to cover staffing all day)

Hey all

just a quick story that might make you chuckle, and my personal view on how to deal with security...

I was at the World Cup in Orlando - cant remember which year, 1997 I think - when one of the Ironmen had a gun stolen. Luckily someone had seen a player walk away with the gun and were able to point him out. The team he played for had a hired car and when they were made to open the boot there was the missing cocker - The Ironmen beat the **** out of the guy responsible and proceeded to absolutley trash the car, slashed the tyres and seats, busted all the windows and turned it on its side :) ! the whole team was then evicted from the event and banned from all future NPPL events!

So.. be warned any slimy assed thieving gits out there - I liked this approach and will be applying the same kinda justice to any thieves we catch on 5th May!!!!!!

Incidentally - on the day I will be responsible the Game Control Staff (U.N.) and the terrorist squad.

Peace

If any kit gets nicked at the Big Game I think the thief will in all probability end up getting the biggest paintjob in the history of paintball and completely deserve it .

its sad that we have to watch each other like that isn't it. A couple of ar$e holes screw it all up for the rest of us again.

Lets nail the B@stards to the wall.

In the interests of security, may I recommend the folowing product? It's basically a flexible steel net that you can pull over your gear bag, as used by backpackers all over the world. It can be locked to something secure, and the largest one should fit up to 120litres. They are available a all good outdoors stores, Londoners can get their's from YHA adventure shops, 152-160 Wardour steet. Ask for Andy and you may even get a discount :)
Sure it's not complete thief proof, but it's better than nothing and is a major detterent
