Someone walked into the mediatent at the Campaign Cup today and stole my camerabag with equimpment (and passport!).
Its a carry-on sized black rollerbag, Think Tank brand.

Any one who hears anything, please pass it on, no questions asked.

It is a damn shame more stuff being stolen.

As for saying that Essex isn't the best place, anyone remember birmingham.

The Mill's need more support from the local police forces / security imo. Dave Stewart does a good job apparently ;)

To be honest I'm not surprised.

I played M5 on Field 3 on sat and field 2 on sunday, apart from having our players cards checked when we went onto all 5 games on sat, there was no security at all, we all kitted up just on the grass away from the field.

Today we had a table in the zoned area but no one was checked as players or pit crew and we had no id checks whilst going onto the field.

We made sure that we had someone with our kit at all times.

Its such a shame that fellow ballers decide in there wisdom to "look after" someone elses kit, it really pisses me off. I know mistakes can happen but a camera bag !!

Really hope it turns up.

Sorry to hear that. The security really was laughable - teams for the M5 were staging in the open next to field 3 and anyone could mingle with the players and their equipment.

There was one friendly and cheerful chap sat near the Div 2 field where the gap in the fence was between the field and the spectators car park. I asked him what he was there to do and he said people can come in and out as they please but no equipment in or out.

I'm trying to get my head round why we needed the yellow wristband for the Div 3 M5, they were always covered by my pads, and we were asked to see the player pass cards before games.

Hope you get your gear back man.

Bands Im sure were just for show after games or in the evening. (I admit I didn't take mine off until I got home last night and my son tried to eat it off of my arm LOL) We were only asked to show our ID cards once for the first game but tbh we all have very distinct and obvious team jerseys so I guess the ref's thought that was enough ID.

But we did have a friend look after our gear on the first day, and at least two non-playing team members by our kit on the Sunday. The first M5 field seemed much more "secure" than the second one which was completely open.

Hope you get your gear back man.
Agreed. Wasn't there Medics there, didn't they see something ??

Is that why he let me stroll backwards and forwards through that gap 3 times with my marker bag and geo!?:eek:
