stiffi barrels??

so i hear you have to use a rubber or silicone squeegee with a stiffi barrel (or stif-tip which is probably what i would go for if i decide on it) or the internal finish wears away. anyone else heard about this and has anyone else had any experiences with stiffi barrels or the stif-tips? or should i just stick with a metal barrel and my fluffy?

But yeah, no fluffy's .. but the cp microfibre squeegee's are made to be friendly to cf as well as the straight shots and pull throughs etc
