The barrels shoot really well when they are new. If you break paint in one, clean it thoroughly as soon as you can. Do not use in sandy or gritty conditions if you have a choice. The fibers inside the barrel are suseptible to damage. When the inside starts looking fuzzy, shoot through becomes impossible, accuracy is severely affected, and velocity becomes inconsistent. If you keep the barrels clean religiously, they seem to last much longer.

Have used one on my speed and found it no better than the stock infinity, check out some of the other links as this has been raised before

I queried this with the manufacturer when I was on the phone last night, and I am told that the inner surface has much the same properties as a metal barrel. You won't get a "furry" barrel as the surface will just get the usual scratches etc that you get on any barrel. The only risk is using fluffy squeegies etc as the porting at the tip is cut across the weave and fibres can catch on the ends of the weave that are exposed. But you are warned not to use that type of squeegy anyway.

Fair enough- a local shop gave us these barrels at a discount as part of a sponsorship package. You can borrow mine and check out the fuzz inside them if you want.

Incidentally, we aren't sponsored by the shop currently, by choice. Issues with the barrels didn't influence the decision.

I guess as they are very new this side of the pond we will have to wait and see if this is an issue later in their life. I am going on the factories advice on this but they have sponsored teams who have shot many thousands of balls without any fuzzing yet, but we shall have to see.
