i have just bought a carbon fibre barrel front for my freak kit. i was readin reviews about this and people were sayin that you were limited to the types of squeegees/barrel swabs you can use because it supposidly pulls the carbon fibre apart. so what kind are safe to use with it.

I honestly wouldn't worry yourself about it that much.

Having owned a few myself, and known many users, I have never known one to become weaker or seem to deteriorate in any which way due to using a squeegee or fluffy in them; though off the top of my head I don't remember which you aren't meant to use...

bits of *fluff* from a *fluffy* can catch and get stuck on the fibres of the carbon... causing erratic shots... and u cant get them out :)

^ that doesnt make any sense?

as Ravie has said, afaik the older style Stiffi barrels had a problem with the fluff getting caught in the porting holes causing the carbon to fray or sommit, but the newer ones (produced within about the last year and half or so) dont suffer from this.
