sterling stp pump gun

have just bought wot i have been told is the best pump gun there is. problem is standard barrel is inaccurate short and loud.

just wanted a number for somebodywho does a 14" or so after market one, which also raises the question of what size barrel to purchase. i mainly play walk ons at local fields,usually using diablo or zap paint.

the dye barrel on my cocker i have put on is the bollox but unable to find one for my sterling which was bought mainly to make walk on days a bit different and a bit cheaper with paint.


any clues i would be gratefull of. (autocockers rule)

The Barrel problems you are having are simple the paint is way too small...Sterling barrels were mainly big bore also the barrel on the stp is brass lined ...very accurate, loud yes but accurate but then as always you need a good paint to barrel match to get the best out of the Sterling

thanx 4 the links . interesting about the brass lined barrels. is that the new guns like mine also?

i am also assuming the reason my autococker doesnt have any inaccuracy problems is coz the barrels a tighter bore.

brass lined barrels as far as I can recall were only on the early Sterlings
but those links i have given you will more than wet your appitite for Sterling info
