Is it OK to use steel braided hoses with quick disconnects when using Air? Or should I get some macroline?

A guy had me set up his shocker with SS hose and a Pro-connect, and suffered massive shoot down with it. Switching to QD's helped A LOT, but it was still a little more restrictive than the wide bore hose used on shockers. If other people have used it, and it worked, I don't know then. Hell, it may have been his guns settings that caused the problem.

Nope, Max-flows and Shockers are tapped for 1/8th NPT, the standard in paintball. As for the SS having more flow, look at the passage in a Mega line, then look at the passage in a SS hose, the SS is smaller.
