Starting tournaments

Me and a m8 are looking to start tournaments and were either deciding to start a team and do 3 man tournys or join a team in the south.

Whats the best option to do and are there any teams that wouldnt mind having 2 newbies?

We've got about a years experience and we've got our own kit (automag and spyder, gonna get ions or something similar soon)

Where abouts exactly is it you live? I would recommend training with a local team and speaking to them about it, maybe they'll let you go with them to a tourney and if not play watch, pot up for them etc, get the feel for the whole tournament format etc

The 3 man tournaments run at Warren's site in Ashford are brilliant for new teams starting out and also for players wishing to hone their skills etc.

i had my first tournament on sunday with "the league" and it was great
get some training on the sup air format down at your local site for a few months then tryout and train with other teams
i was in the same situation not long ago and now i have joined the league
put the effort in and you will get somewhere

Well, we are at Portsmouth and there is a team we could tag along with, (well i hope so anyway). And there are no sup air fields near portsmouth that im aware of, we play walk ons right now.
