I'd like to get into tournament/sup air style paintball, but I don't have a clue how to start out. Can anyone give me any info on how to make/get a team, what gear would be needed and where to play sup air (Around west sussex, or surrey)...

Thanks!

We just played our first tourney today, and had a great laugh. If you want to come along on a training day with us, see how you get along with the guys then that would be good. We are based around the south east and normally go down to Campaign.

Forgot to say that I'm 14... Anyway I might just go down to Surrey (Paintball once a mounth just isn't enough...) when I get myself a marker... Any info on younger players teams anyone?

It's getting the friends to fork out the 150 odd quid... And getting them to train regulary and that means them forking out another load of cash... Which they would rather spend on other things...

Alternatively, you could join an existing team. Go to some walk on days at places like West London Paintball or Campaign, train hard and show the right attitude, ands keep your ears open for novice teams looking for players. Even if you don't get hooked up with a team for a while, you'll have loads of fun in the process of trying.:)

Just get yourself a marker and come down the Campaign walkons, then you will get the chance to meet new players and see which ones are on teams you may be interested in joining. Worst case you will have a good day out paintballing.

Or get yourself sorted (marker and everything). Train by yourself for a year, and even join other teams in training drills. Become good and wanted. Then at the start of 2005 season get picked up by an awesome team and hey presto, your not only in a team but a wicked team. Im sure Robbo will lead you in the right direction training wise ;)

Happy Xmas
Darren :)
