Hi, wasn't sure where to put this but as its about tournies I thought here would be the best place. If a mod decides otherwise then feel free to move.
When I played at HG they used the style of starting gate method we have seen in the pics in PGI from US events. You know, where everyone stands in front with the gun barrel touching the gate. This allows for a better start as a) the front players are not blocked by a gate, and b) the back players are not blocked by their front players and they can get their guns up a lot faster than them having to wait to get on the field out of the gate before pulling their gun up.
Now at all the other events I have been to you start behind the gate which can lead to slower breakouts and not enough paint being shot off the break etc. This could just be down to my team not being very good at breaking out yet, but I did notice the ease of breaking out and the more aggressive breakouts at HG coz the front guys felt that they were more likely to make the long primaries than if they had to start behind the gate.
So what I was wondering was if we could use this method of breaking out at the next M25 and campaign? I haven't managed to make it to any other milleniums this year so if they do use it then sweet, I look forward even more to campaign.
It shouldn't be too hard to implement at the next M25 as we have had to start with our guns back already, so just move the team infront of the gate and tell them when they start and they will quickly pick up on it.
Just a thought to make the games more exciting and aggressive.
Charlie.
