starting a uni team

hi all i was talking to another baller the other day and just mentioned that i was in university (newi in wrexham to be precise) and he said to me that he thinks there are ways of helping people fund a new team through university. is this true? if so then how would i go about this?

I guess you would have to be affiliated in some way, e.g. paintball club or society (we have to be called a society, cos paintball isnt recognised as a sport under Uni insurance...., yet somehow Gliding etc is?!)

Once youve done that, you should be able to ask for funding. Most Unis wont give the full amount you want, for example I asked for about £3k and got about £1k....

But its a help!!!
