I think I'm gonna start balling again.......

I am prob gonna get an Ion as they appear to be the best marker for starting tournament ball.

Just a couple of questions first tho.....

If I do decide to go for the Ion are there any "necessary" upgrades that I should get hold of?

Can anybody recommend another marker? I'm looking at spending about £300 with air so prob £150 to £200 on the actual marker. I don't want to turn this into a my guns better than your gun thread just looking for an easy to service reliable marker in the sub £200 bracket.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

If your buying an ion get a q-lock and on/off they are main things really.

The q-lock holds the hopper on tight and the on/off turns off the are to make it easy to take the bottle off.

qlock is vital unless u want your opper swing everywhere. on/ off i would all vital. and get a triiger that best suits u .

Yeah man.

I have just brought my Ion of a mate at work.

Ion with freak and aftermarket trigger,
fibre wrap 1.1L bottle
halo b with ripdrive

all for £250.

So there are some good deals out there for the Ion.

But I must say, number one priority ups would have to be locking feedneck, and an asa (on/off).

Number 2 ups would be, frear barre system, 360 QEV,...

Thats it really, the rest are essential, they just obviouly make it better.

You can pick up 4500 1.1l air for around 80, that leaves you an easy 200 for the marker. It's well worth going upmarket to an ego or speed, you will appreciate the difference.

PS. the speed 05's are fetching around 170

You can get a good quality PM5 for that kind of price, way nicer than an ion
