only criticism with that package i would say is putting the primo on a slg. your spending the money on a tournament style gun capable of firing over 10 balls a second. if your definately going to be using that, have a look at the cheaper viewloader hoppers to get your gun up to speed. alternatively, this gun has eyes so its no worry if you only plan on firing at up to 8 bps, your not going to be chopping paint.

havent heard much on the mask but it looks like a budget mask which if your going for looks a good choice, however possibly stretching your budget could pay off for a mask which is more comfortable, flexible, maybe better lense options etc.

again this is all depending on what kind of paintball your going to play, but if you dont plan on using the speed the slg is capable of i'd look at some different guns, maybe like the smart parts sp-1

lol thanks for the advice... if its ok i have a few questions taht may appear obvious. bear with me.

1.) You're saying that the weak link here is the hopper? Cause it loads slower than the gun can fire.. i see ok.
2.) Eyes? lasers in the barrel right? And chopping is when they burst? Could you recomend a marker that i can use for a couple of years, in tourney style games, with a small field and inflatable bunkers? i also prefer being a back player if that helps.
3.) I was plannning on re selling the mask next payday anyway :)

Thanks.

The SLG is an incredible starter marker, it's perfect for a newcomer to tournie ball and mine did me well all of last year. You definately don't need to worry about the SLG, the tank will also do you fine for a good while, so no worries there either.

The eyes detect when there's a ball in the breach, and doesn't let the marker shoot if there isn't. So yeah, lazers in the barrel is a fine enough description. They just make sure that you're not firing half a ball at somebody.
;)

The weakest link there is definately the loader. It's great if you're only going to be firing upto 8bps on semi, but if you're enterng tournies you'll want something that feeds a little faster and more consistently, especially if you're entering tournies that use ramping. You could go for an Empire ReloaderII if you're on a budget, or a secondhand ReloaderB or Halo (£30) if you want to spend a bit more on something that last you into serious play.

If you're planning on reselling the mask then it's fine, you probably won't get a lot for it though. Masks are the kind of thing worth spending the money on, they'll need to be comfortable and you'll need to be able to see. Worry about that next payday though.
:)
Also try to factor in some decent arm/knee pads. When you're throwing yourself around on a field it's kinda important you don't get hurt too bad, it'll also make things more comfortable when you're reballing in the gym, which I think you guys do.

If you don't mind me asking, I thought that the UWE team had bought a couple of PMR10's to lend out?

Don't worry about asking questions, it's one of the only ways to learn and there's always someone on here to help. Welcome to p8ntballer

very good choice on the SLG. Excellent start, however i consider it much more important to get a good pair of goggles to start with as if you can't see, you can't shoot.

I'd go for the following:

£35+ on the goggles (proto pro axis and JT stuff are good)
£20-35 on a motorised hopper (reloader, egg etc.)
£180 SLG
£40 Bottle (0.8l 3000psi steely)

But remember you'll need a pack and maybe not to start with but you will want a jersey and some playing paints.

My 2.34 cents......

Well i have some pants and a jersey, so thats all cool, and for now i have an army kit bag, so i guess that'll do for now too :)

What hopper would you recommend? And what sort of things am i looking for in one?

Thanks.

They do, but im looking at doing this quite seriously, and so i think i'd prefer my own marker tbh... Plus then i guess that i can get a feel for my own if that makes sense, as one of the hardest things I've found out so far is having to keep re adjusting when borrowing peoples markers :(
