Before this gets closed like the thread which I am refering to (I was going to comment in that thread but like I say it got closed) maybe we should add another board on here for all the non Paintball related stuff so it doesnt clog up SYB etc?

And while were at it, if Star Wars Kid gets removed/closed why dont the arguements about George Bush/Iraq go the same way?

Where's their relevance?

You start a new thread to comment on some aspect of a closed thread but you don't actually comment--instead you wonder why it was closed when other non-PB threads remain open.

I'll let you in on a little known secret. There is a fairly convoluted formula the mods use to limit the mindless blather across the forums. So while it somethimes seems arbitrary--it's not.

Given that--you can expect this thread to last about . . .5, 4, 3, 2, . . .

My point wasn't about 'that' thread but more asking why we dont have a miscellaneous forum for stuff that isnt Paintball related so we can amuse/inform/just be friendly with like minded souls.

For example:

"Time to face the music and dance Mark and Headrock"

a thread about Weapons of Mass Destruction/Iraq War and comments regarding said subject thats been running for over 3 weeks

Its not "mindless blather" to the participants because its had too much interest but it has no relevance to Paintball whats so ever and yet its allowed to run!

MikeyR--asked and answered. SYB is currently at or near it's max level of mindless blather so something had to go. As to the issue of a non-PB forum to hang out in, it has been considered in the past and rejected since other alternatives already exist and the gnomes do not wish to dilute the world's finest PB forums.

Rancid-never been fashionable so it's not a concern.

Who's house is it?

We had this discussion before.

It came down to the fact that there are other places for general non paintball related chat and the powers that be were not so interested in paying expensive fees to host chat unrelated to the topic and reason for this board.

Some thing are allowed to slide, because they are entertaining, or because they are started by people who's house it is.

Fair enough for me. (doesn't mean you can't push the rules now and then and see what happens though )
