Cant get my ego velocity up. The velocity screw's quite far up inside of the reg with lots of the threaded bit left and jams tight. Anyone know if it's meant to screw down further than that???

Cheers!

Clockwise (in) decreases the velocity
Anti-clockwise (out) Increases the velocity

Sounds like your turning it the wrong way

yep, cheers ryan. i'd say about half way down the threaded bit from the top of the threaded bit.

Is that what the star reg's meant to be like, or is something funny going on.

ah....

yeh, had the reg apart last night and it's all back together right as it was before which is as it says in the manual. everything looks ok too. Wont have a chance to fire it again to check the velocity til next month, but didnt really do anythoing to it so think it'll prolly still be low.

just double check it, it only takes one of the washers to be wrong and it could ruin your day...........

must be something other than the reg then that's the problem (unless takin it apart and sticking it together again's fixed it already....)???

well good luck with it. quick one for ya?? was it cold at the time you were chronoing? they don't tend to like very cold weather much.

Last January at the masters, I couldn't get mine to shoot above 240 all day, and it was only due to being around the -3 degrees mark. also might be worth giving it a general lube up, and quick service.
