To Be personally honest with you Marc i'd say no , id just buy an ego instead .. Money better off spent if you ask me.
depends on preference.
i preferred the lcd screen for ease of use, the frame felt slightly nicer to use, the trigger was far better,and much less kick.
all in all it felt better than my ego7 - best ego i'd ever shot until then.
sadly had to part with it to bail out the wife

jus get it LOL it's only £25 from eclipse, it's does seem to have made a bit of difference but u will get the most out of it, correct me if I'm wrong if u set up ur gun for it.

yeah the zick kit is a good additon for a few bucks, but as you say it needs a little tinkering with the settings to get the best from it - although even by bunging it straight in you'll feel the difference.
the starframe at over £100 is a bit heavier on the wallet, but mine came with the gat.

if your planning on keeping ur etek the star frame is worth it ! just so much nicer and if you were to add up what you get seperatly its not that overpriced.

like even just an upgrade board is like £100 and a trigger around the £20-30 mark.
im planning on keeping this as backup in the future and treating myself to an 08 or 09 in the future.

Most of my team mates have either an ego 8 or etek2 but only a couple of us have the starframe attached, it makes a hell of a difference programming the settings you`ve got no coulored led`s to mess about with and it only takes 20-30 secs to change programmes from millenium to psp etc well worth the money in my opinion.
