Right, I noticed that the ASA on my star frame was loose and sliding back and forth, so I went to tighten this up the conventional way by trying to tighten it through the bottom of the frame, but since it's using a t-rail to dovetail rail adaptor the tightening screws are on the adaptor and not in the frame. This is where the problem comes up.
The screws that I need to tighten are on the side which the ASA is on, but the ASA is stuck onto the adaptor, literally not budging at all. I've had it off before when I adjusted it for comfort, but it's definately not coming free now. I've taken out the screws which tighten the ASA onto the adaptor, so it should be coming free.
Is it just a question of brute force? I'd kinda like to have this sorted by the weekend so any ideas are welcome.
