stako reg change . HELP

basically my stako reg is leeking slighty and i have a brand new never used crossfire reg and basically just wanted to know if the regs can be changed on stakos ?

and also where can i get it done ?
would hpac be the best bet?
if they are anyone know if they will be able to do it for me at the next masters if i give it em ?

I assume the reg in there at the moment has been loctited?

Can't remember how hot you need to get loctite before it softens but you might be able to do it with hot water and hair dryers. Of course before attempting make sure the tank is empty.

For future reference modern regs do not need to be glued in. The pressure of the gas is enough to hold them in place. There is a techpb youtube on it if your interested. Making it also much easier when travelling abroad.

Yes regs can be changed. the bottles can be bought seperately.

You can change it yourself if you're careful not to cross thread the reg and tighten it up properly, but if you have any doubts get Hpac or an airsmith to do it for you

i dont have any strap wrenches or anything that could get it off
its on pretty damm tight

hence why i asked if hpac could do it at the next masters for me

More than likely been glued then.

Hot water and hair dryers will loosen it.

Strap wrench costs about £15 from a DIY shop.
