Staargate Jugglers / Fire/Glo spinners??

I'm not expecting this thread to go far, but if there were even one or two of you out there it would be cool.... I met a few firespinners at N v S, and another guy who says he's coming to Timewars, plus i know a few DF marshals into juggling and spinning (our site builder even rides the unicycle) so i live in hope...

So, who is going to Staargate who can spin/ juggle: staff, poi, diabolo, clubs, balls, yoyo etc etc??

Anyone want to meet on the Sat afternoon for a practice and maybe put on a fireshow at the party or have a burn in the corner of the field?

We have a few fire props we can lend out sat nite, but only to the sober who know what they are doing, tho anyone can join in on Saturday afternoon before we light up!!

have you ever seen toothbrush spinning gups....much fun especially if you set them on fire.

try this ....balance your brush on your finger so that the bristles are on your finger and the handle is vertical, then get it spinning round your finger.....its damn hard to do at first. then when you get good/have ruined your brush/been shopping for good 'spinning brushes' all you need then is to attach some wick (the same stuff as on juggling clubs is the best) soak in parafin and off you go.....the burning toothbrush of doom!
i first saw it about 10+ years ago at a circus skills thing, they were teaching kids stuff they could do with home made equipment.

ok, can everyone just get diabolo spelt right first?

it has no connection with the devil throughout it's entire history, diabolo is greek for object to throw. Diablo is latin for devil.

I would go to staargate, but it's fully booked and i don't think i can get there.

I'll be bringing staff and 2 diabolos if anyone is interested.

i used to be pretty good at using a diabolo, never could quite master using two at once though.
