Staargate hotel offer

Hi all,

I just had a look for a hotel room near the Staargate event, I thought I would be efficient this year and not leave it till the last minute

The Travel Lodge just down the road from the site "Wakefield Woolley Edge M1 Southbound" are doing rooms that they say will sleep three adults for £15 for the night if you book now.

ther are a few hotels with in a ten-fifthteen mins drive from the site, and all are easy to get to from the motorway, but the travel lodge is the newest and best value around........ lucky for me i live 2 mins drive away from the site

but im not sure why you would wont to spend valuable paintball money on a hotel, when there are places to camp on site, and youll be missing out on the fun at night.

With a 4 hours drive up and a 4 hour drive back and a bit of paintballing in between I think a good nights sleep in a real bed is what my old bones want. I will be enjoying the evening fun, but I won't drink too much alcohol and I will have a nice comfortable bed to sleep in and it will be cheaper for me than buying a new tent.

I think I must be showing my age again

I booked it 3 weeks ago, you have to pay up front though, (no refunds) I agree with Alex on the warm bed front, went to Star wars scenario afew years back, rained buckets when I got there, tent and all my stuff got soaked, cheap arse tent leaked, and broke, the day was exellent can't fault it one bit, but at 27 the bed wins every time
