Lee Wickham and Tim Barnett are delighted to announce that next years Staargate event will be held as usual in September at Powerplay's Wakefield site.
Lee and Tim will be running the event under the Shoreline Paintball banner which has already established itself on the calendar with the Armo-Geddon series of games.
This announcement will put an end to speculation over the future of next years game - Staargate 2008 is on!
Lee:
"Like everyone else I was disappointed when it looked like Staargate wasn't going to happen next year, but I'm delighted that the opportunity has arisen to put the event firmly back on the calendar. You can pencil that weekend back into your diaries for next year, because as ever, it's going to be a cracking weekend of paintball."
Timboy:
"Steve Bull has set the bar high with the previous Staargate games and we have a tough job on our hands to match that, but we're confident that by bringing enough new ideas to keep things interesting without messing with the fundamentals that make this game the highlight of the year that we can put on a great game"
Steve Bull:
"After 7 very successful years, I have decided not to be the event organiser for next years Staargate game. It takes a huge amount of time, effort and work to put on an event like this and I now feel the time has come for me to enjoy a bit of time off during the month of September.
I've known Lee and Tim for some time now and I have every confidence that they will put on a great weekend. They have my full support and I'm looking forward to being at Staargate 2008 - albeit on the other side of the microphone!"
Full details will be announced next year, message ends…
