I'm sitting here with an X-Mag and an Angel, but have got pretty bored with them and looking for something new.

I had this weird idea of going really low-tech (and low cost) and seeing if it affects my game. The Spyder AMG caught my eye, basically because I see Bad Company uses them... and they seem to be playing pretty well at the moment. Also heard TJ Lambini ran one for a while and was impressed with it.

I've never seen one yet, so anyone got any thoughts on them... reliability etc?

The AMG is a nice gun for the money. Reliable, efficient, easy to maintain and fix. Not as fast or accurate as some of the higher priced guns but it'll get the job done. And think of how much fun it will be to take out an Angel-toter with your Spyder :D

Frontline - the velocity problem is almost definitely the spring. At the field I work at, we cut or stretch a Spyder spring almost every weekend to fix velocity. If you back your velocity adjuster out after you play, it will make the spring last longer (prevents compression of the spring).
