Spray Painting Bottles...

[FUBAR]

I have a Melee 1.1l bottle & I want to spray a design onto it, and here the Q: Right round the middle of the bottle theres a band which has the HSE standard & testing info on it, written there too is "This lable must remain visible" does this mean to the letter WITHOUT FAIL THE WHOLE LABLE or can i spray over bits of it where there is no text / other crucial information

Ive been in Paintball Limbo (ouch!)

me starting playing has been entirely dependant on exam success on my AAT qualification, but ive now recieved a phat reward cheque off my parents and have ordered a nice shiney new Evo X E-Blade Cocker from belsales and am finishing off the last bits of shopping i need to do next week at Campaign.

now im kitted out I can start playing

spay painting yer bottle isnt a good idea...
i have heard the properties in spray paint can disolve the
out side of the bottle (its not visible tho)

yeah, just like leaving paint on your lenses can dissolve the lenses

maby you should cout the tank with somthin first

I don't know for certain, but I'd approach fibre-wrapped tanks much the same way as motorcycle helmets when it comes to painting them - the solvents in many paints might make the outler layers more brittle, which is bad, m'kay? A much better approach would be to get a "bottle-armour" type thing and paint that. Then you don't have to worry about covering the test label either, since the cover just comes off to reveal the label.

Excelent thanks for the warnings guys, I was going to use Halfords Car Spray paints because i've used them for other things in the past (Blue Fade flame job on my Hifi Subwoofer ) which is what I was going to do on the bottle.

Whats this "Bottle Armour" thing you mentioned rabies? I assume that would be like an alu. sheath for the bottle. ive never seen anything like that so where can you get it?

I could always go the easy option & get a dye tank cover next week at campaign
