what you might find, is that you may need to check with your local paintball site and/or the one you'll be spending most your time playing at - just to make sure that they can fill c02. many sites have moved onto compressed air, so it's worth checking

If your planning on getting a tippmann you can spray paint it as long as you get the right type of paint as tippmanns are powdercoated anyhow so it really wont matter, i have spray painted a beat up tippmann before and it is still going strong.

There's a paint called duracoat which is designed of firearms, comes in black or a range of camo colours.

You'll have to import(if you can import it) Duracoat as there isn't a UK dealer(or there wasn't last time I looked) Your better off with Krylon or at a pinch using the plasticote range from B&Q

You can even spraypaint a glossy marker if you must. The trick is to sand the to be sprayed surface and give it a very good primer coating first. Then hit it with the colour of your choice (again of a good quality, use the links supplied above) and then seal it all in with a top level varnish. It works for cars, it'll work for paintguns. But it WILL chip, just like anno jobs will eventually scratch.
