Spikes

rite...last time i went, i used running spikes to play ball.
is this illegal?
as it improved my running and balance significantly!
the only thing i though of was maybe splitting the bunkers with the spikes.
your thoughts?

i think it is actually illegal, by penalty of catapult. Cant remember where i read it, but i did download a rulebook from somewhere once.

Ive made do with astroturf footy boots, other legal footwear would be football boots, cleats, blades (them football boots alternatives that were big in the late 90's) and bin liners.

Yea spikes aint a good idea, cos if u stand on the corner of a bunker it will puncture!

I wear metal blades atm which are technically illegal i think, so ur best bet is some astro boots or plastic blades.

thats a shame....they were soo awsome on the field...
il use em in the woods tho.
might get myself a pair of astros or sumthing...could help i guess.

You can get ceramics spikes anyway which aren't illegal. Ive also stood on the corner of barricades and never punctured them so thats just theoretical bolloc*s

note i didnt say they weren't illegal. I use them and usually get away with it, because it isn't harming anyone. However you are technically breaking the rules, so be warned...

Hmm, ive never tried it, so ur probably right, but im surprised as my sprinting spikes are pretty dam sharp!

you still use em for sprinting? thats why, mine have been on gravel, concrete tarmac and as such are very blunt on the tips.
