we all put emphasis on being very fast and very aggresive, trying to break the game open as quick as possible, and trying to get as many people out on the break as possible, always helps being up

Three things that i see important. That all refer to the term PMT!

1) Paint
2) Movement
3) Technique

Paint being the main one. If you got no paint on the opposition then it will be very dificult to make those critical movements. Especially off the break!

Movement is key to reducing your angles on the opposition. The closer you get, the smaller the angle, the easier kills you get. There for the quicker you are rid of the opposition.

Paint and movement define your aggressiveness on the field. The more aggressive you are, the more those windows of opputunity open.

Lastly technique, determines how tight you are playing and how you play the game. Snapshooting is the main one. Snapshooting when trained properly is a killer skill. And will get you out of the **** in more times than not ;)

Hope that helps.
Best person to ask really is Robbo or any of the nexus guys.

Go to:
http://www.p8ntballer.com

And then click on the 'Classroom' bit on the top navigation bar. Pretty much all the articles you can hope for to give you the basics on playing moderned speedball games. Failing that.....get on the phone and subscribe to PGI Magazine..

Personally, my best peice of advice comes straight from Robbo wise old mouth and i will paraphrase here. The most important thing you can do on a paintball field, speedball or otherwise, more important than any crap like comunication or bunkering is to STAY ALIVE. If you're hanging out the side of your bunker and you get shot out then you are useless. Practice keeping tight in your bunker, constantly monitor your profile and give your oponent the least you can to shoot at. Once you ahve got the art of keeping tight then most of the other skills will grow from there.

Helps what may i ask?

Spraying paint onto a opositions bunker may work when you are playing goober teams but any players with any sense realise that you dont worry about the shots hitting your bunker but the ones going past the edges.
