You should have had a basic parts kit and oil with the Etek; the manual will tell youthe recommended routine - Eteks are tanks, so overdoing it will cause more harm than good!

Thanks Kevin I have the original spares kit I was maybe being a bit over cautious as I like all my stuff to work to the best of its ability. Any recommendations on good squeegees or are they all much the same? Sorry if these are silly questions.

No worries. Fluffies are a little variable - the cheaper ones look like wool on bits of wooden dowel and will do fine. I personally prefer the NXE ones which are more like a fleece material A couple of those for in game quick cleans, and a couple of rubber pull throughs for a serious clean between games.

Thanks Kevin, soon as you have been a big help so far is there a battle pack that you reccomend or is a NXE one suitable? Good Velcro? Not likely to open in games.

Hardly any bad packs out there - as long as it's a recognised brand. I have an Eclipse, NXE and Empire pack knocking about, all excellent.

Hi Louis,

The spares and oil that come with your Etek are 99% of what you'll need, you'll also need some grease for servicing the regulator. Eclipse grease is spot-on for this, you can pick it up from most retailers or Eclipse themselves.

For maintenance, whilst the Etek doesn't require it as frequently as some markers, I believe the recommendation is to oil the bolt after every game or two, and to service the reg every few games/months depending on how often you play. If you do it correctly, you can't really overdo it.

Personally, I clean the bolt, rammer and eyes after each game, as well as the external bits and making sure the macroline and ASA are clean. Then do the more fiddly bits like HPR and LPR every 2 games or so. I play scenario so my marker tends to get a bit dirty and I like to keep it clean.

As you can imagine, there are plenty of great video on Youtube for stripping and servicing your marker, TechPB and Hustle Paintball are two of the best if they have any, Planet also have some themselves. They have a reg servicing video for the SL3 reg (used on the Geo 3, Ego 11 and Etek 4) here -
They don't have an Etek video, but again the Etek 4 has a lot of similarities to the Ego 11, which is shown here -

Thanks for all of that info ABE that's more than I could ask for. I know some of these questions might seem a bit silly but I like to know as much info from actual players than learning the hard way lol!

With this Tech-T bolt upgrade what are the gains you will get from this? Upgraded fire rate?
Again all this is new but I will be looking in to this thank for pointing me in the right direction!
