Found this on P8nt:

The IR3 is not fitted with the standard .45 grip; rather it comes complete with WDP’s new Space Frame. The front of this new grip is actually vertical, while the back and sides are all curvy to fit in the hand better, however you like to hold it. This whole design apparently allows the user to shoot really fast strings of paint without losing any grip on the gun. You can fan that trigger with much better accuracy, according to da boyz. It also promotes a much more natural body position, rather than that somewhat camp “swan’s neck” that most players have to adopt when firing a .45.

Sounds a bit like the z grip by AGD, seemed interesting to me.

AGD said they had licensed a company to produce them for the angels but I did not think WDP was that company?

AGD make Automags, Automag RT's, RT-Pros, ReTro Mags, and E-mags.

WDP make any Angel.

They are completly separate companies, infact AGD is based the USA and WDP are based in the UK.

The grip (from reading about it here) does seem to have the same principles as the z-grip, to put the players grip into a more natural position. Though by the description it will look completly different. The z-grip is all angled forward, basically its a .45 grip tilted forward, whereas the new Angel grip seems to have a straight side where your fingers go and where the trigger is and the back is slanted. Not having the whole thing slanted.
Like this \| wheres the z-grip is like \\.

Ciaran I know who makes what and where they are based, my point is that these grips seem very similar and I am wondering if they are too similar, after all AGD have always pioneered products that break away from the mold but maybe it takes a company with the stsatus of WDP to make something of it? with the right marketing etc.etc.

an interesting point to ponder.

having heard your two arguments i have come to the conclusion that mooney is an idiot :) Erm.. onto the grips i'm pretty sure that the z frame isn't like the ir3's new grip. it's all about the positioning of the grip on the angel, e.g it's been angled towards the norm ( sorry goin scientific now :) ) but then again having not seen it we cannot say at the moment, it may defy all our expectations or it may be just like the z-frame. Who knows? Wdp employees, matt, ged, the list goes on and on :)

I bet mate!!! My Angel looks naked without them bits up front. When I said they were the only 2 in the world! Believe me I know I designed them and had them made at the local machine shop!
