SP doesn't stand a chance. They do indeed have a patent on pretty much all electro pneumatic paintball 'guns but if you're read the patent... it's so vague (general) that I can't imagine them actually able to enforce it.
And there is also shed loads of prior art that wasn't revealed by SP when they applied for their patent.
The Navy actually invented an electronic gun which is prior art to the SP patent but not cited.
Also the release dates (they had a year) from when the concept of an electronic marker was known to the public doman to their patent application starting doesn't sit quite right with me.
Exactly. And you have to assume WDP would know this (why wouldn't they?!?). That's why I don't think this will ever make it to court. WDP would take them to the cleaner's.
