SP sues WDP!

These things happen all the time and usually an agreement is reached out of court before anyone even knows there's a dispute.

People even threaten to sue us every now and again (proper people I mean, not Piper...who threatened us with legal action about three minutes ago).

You seen Al Pacino

in The Devil's Advocate? That's our boy...we like the whole hellfire and damnation angle.

Alternatively, their name escapes me - I'm sure Rancid will remember and post it when he finds this thread.

SP doesn't stand a chance. They do indeed have a patent on pretty much all electro pneumatic paintball 'guns but if you're read the patent... it's so vague (general) that I can't imagine them actually able to enforce it.

And there is also shed loads of prior art that wasn't revealed by SP when they applied for their patent.

The Navy actually invented an electronic gun which is prior art to the SP patent but not cited.

Also the release dates (they had a year) from when the concept of an electronic marker was known to the public doman to their patent application starting doesn't sit quite right with me.
