Having a couple of problems which someone may be able to help with

1st being the asa on/off, its a standard sp dovetail, yet its really loose. I've tried all the allen keys i have and none of them seem to fit! Can anyone point me in the right direction with a size? I've been reassured that its actually a allen key, and yes im using metric measured keys

2nd being the handle where you change the velocity or the gun etc? its became very loose and it cant be tightened anymore than it already is, any ideas?

Thanks

1st, your using the wrong allen key, All SP gats are imperial, most likely its a 5/32", but I'm not overly sure, but definately imperial.

2nd, is it the regulator that is loose or the cover? also is it loose when aired up?

If im right then there might be a couple of grub screws going from the reg cover to the reg underneath to hold it in place. Lots of aftermarket reg covers use this but not sure on the eos. If they are their then just tighten the screws and the cover should stop sliding around....

As always balf is correct these are imperial, second point just so you know in future after cleaning your reg.... these kinda tighten on when you screw your reg on, its really hard to explain but you grip the cover and turn the reg in and it all just kinda keeps together tight, failing this they have a big o ring that fits inside it maybe that this o ring is missing or not correctly fitted. I know this is not a great help but if you want me to utube a vid then i will if you get stuck again when it comes to reg clean time.

Just out of curiosity... balf how of fern do you recommend a SP reg should be cleaned?

Cheers :D

Well depending what you have, the old maxflo (found on most SFT's not the big hunk a chunk maxflo either) every month or so, tbh I do mine when it needs doing, or when i can be bothered.

The new style, ion onwards, SP say once a year, I reckon every 15,000(ish) balls

Cheers, done about 15,000 balls with my epiphany and only done the reg once and its seams to perform fine, performed exactly the same as before i cleaned it etc. Just wondered thats all because it was a right mess about to strip and clean (has to be said not as bad as some of the other regs, only prob was the socket type bit to get off). Think i done it after about 10,000 balls and dont use it a great deal so thats a bonus lol cheers :D
