Sound analysis

Does anyone have the software do do a sound analysis on two short clips I have, I want to know the rate of fire of my board with both a halo and an egg.


If anyone can do this It would be much appreciated.

I use audacity - it lets you select a certain area of the sound file, and it tells you howlong the selection you've made is - good for doing averages over a second/ten seconds, or two/three shot bursts.

AND it's open source - ie free

Software

Another good audio app is Sytrillium's Cool Edit... got a nice graphical representation of the sound clip (like in Windows Sound Recorder, but bigger and more detailed) and shows you the duration of the clip or selection. Though I think they got bought out by Adobe... so try www.adobe.com or PM me and I'll try and sort you out with a trial version...
