Ok, Sorry if sentences dont add together , Its 3.30am in morning so not all there, I'v just had a idea that may sort all problems out as far as people being ripped off is concerned..

What if the Classified Section Of PGI had a Central Station Organiser, So basically... Take a Tipical sale , MAN "FRED" sales Gun to MAN "BOB"

Fred sends gun to PGI central station. BOB sends payment to PGI central station.

Once both Product and Payment have been recieved, Central Station send both items off Vice versa.

I understand this involves the Payer of the Items paying twice for Postage, But it would work out a hell of a lot cheaper then loosing 300 notes for a Gun that you never received.

Central station would not be a warehouse, it would be a Home address of the volunteer that wished to take on the roll, it would mean address being made avalible to ALL Admins and Moderators there for eliminating any chances of dodgy Theft ect ect... And all Items that central station sends after recieving both payment & Product would be signed off and printed recipts from royal mail with would be avalible to the seller and buyer. therefore NO responsibity being held for PGI as it would then be a Royal Mail problem.

Please either reply your thoughts and suggestions ?

Many thanks

Jason

I think you'll be lucky to find a volunteer, the volume of stuff traded on here is pretty high. Also where do you draw the line as to what to send? Some people on here have scammed people for £30-40 pounds, not a great deal of money, but it's enough to p!ss you off when someone steals it. Adding around £10 P+P for shipping to a £30 item however is quite an increase, given that the vast majority of traders on this forum are 100% reliable.

Not a solution I'm afraid, just my 2p :)

Tom Allen has already volunteered to do exactly this previously and no one took him up on it ,it seems everybody cares more about an extra £1 to £7 in there pocket than the risk of getting robbed for hundreds..

yeah its called 3rd party , and is a useful way of trading.
As Dsk. said, Tom was up for helping people out and noone was bothered - as usual apathy strikes again!

Sorry boys , I didnt Know this had already been a failed Idea..
I know i would pay the extra £10.00 and elliminate the Risks of being robbed.

It is a solution to the problem, but i think to be onest, its just people dont want to pay the small fee to solve it
