Is it accepted by the manufacturer? What about the Millennium series?

And what's an upgrade about it? It makes it more uncomfortable on your ears and exposes more skin, and actually the material is harder and less likely to bounce hits...

There was a BIG stink back in '99 or so about modified goggles because of insurance reasons.

If you read the rules it is NOT accepted. If a judge made a stink about it, he would be doing his job. They are supposed to enforce the rules aren't they Nick? or only the ones you agree with? ;)

Bob Long lost a match last year in the NXL when he was penalised for goggles that he had cut slightly.

The NPPL seems to be more lax about it. Not sure about the PSP, haven't played/attended one of their events for a while.

if you want to follow the rules then theres No modified goggles allowed, but you will probably see some people with them,

how many people do you see with the jt soft ears that have cut the top of them to make them flat?? that is also modifying your goggles but the majority of the time the judges dont make a fuss.Although i have seen some do it on occassion.

The profiler mod is more noticeable then the jt mod though so it might get picked up on more. If you do the mod and want to try playing with it bring a spair pair of goggles in case they wont let you on the field.

The JT 'soft ears' are actually harder and more rigid than the ears that are integral to the profilers.

Thus, the profiler is less comfortable when you put the JT 'soft ears' onto them.
